Android 4.4 Kitkat Roll-out Expected to Commence Soon

The roll out of Google's latest Android software version 4.4 KitKat is reportedly nearing.
Google Nexus 5
The Nexus 5 is the first device to run Android 4.4 KitKat.
Google had announced the next version of Android as 4.4 KitKat in September. During the launch of Android KitKat (on 31 October), which comes pre-loaded with the new Nexus 5, Google noted that the update will be soon available on Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 10, Google Play Editions of Galaxy S4 and
HTC One in the coming weeks.
However, the search giant did not give details on the specific date for the roll-out. However, HTC was quick enough to offer slight information on the update. HTC is said to have confirmed that the Android 4.4 KitKat update will be coming to the Google Play Edition of HTC One within 15 days of its launch, according to GottaBeMobile. This means the update for HTC One Google Play should arrive sometime this week. Unfortunately, HTC has not announced anything yet.
Meanwhile, LlabTooFeR, a renowned HTC insider via Twitter reveals that software update is almost finished.
"Google Edition is almost finished, sense version under early test," tweetsLlabTooFeR.
Android 4.4 KitKat
Android 4.4 KitKat update for HTC One Google Play Edition is expected soon.
What LlabTooFeR claims here is that the update for the Google Play Edition is almost completed while the HTC One with Sense is currently in the early stages of testing. This should not be surprising, given HTC's earlier promise that the update would come for Developer's Edition within 30 days and for the standard HTC One within 90 days of the announcement of Android 4.4.
This again indicates that HTC is on its way to release the update for HTC One Google Play Edition in near future. This means Google should also release the update soon with the Nexus devices expected to receive the update around the similar time frame.
The Android 4.4 KitKat roll-out is expected to come in phases, which means all users will not get the update on the first day of availability. It is expected take a week or more to reach all the regions across the globe. Another rumour is that an update to the Android 4.4 version, which is Android 4.4.1, is coming soon.
